Only until 28th February will fans be able to buy cheaper tickets for 2017 IIHF Ice Hockey U18 World Championship in Slovakia.

All tickets are available online on www.predpredaj.sk or it is also possible to buy them at 78 stores around Slovakia. “Prices of all-day tickets start from 5 euros for preliminary round, 7 euros for the quarter-finals and semi-finals. For the bronze and gold medal games fans will pay 9 euros,” said tournament director Roman Stambersky. Prices for day tickets will slightly increase from 1st March.

The greatest interest in tickets is for days when the Slovak national team is playing against Canada and Finland. “The demand for the tickets has increased. There are still seats available for the games of Slovak team and the others, too. I believe that many hockey fans will come to Poprad and Spisska Nova Ves to make a great atmosphere for our players who will definitely remember it in their future,” said Miroslav Valicek, General Secretary of the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation.

The tournament will start with the first games of the preliminary round on Thursday, 13th April. There will be ten teams in two groups. Host nationa Slovakia will play in Group A that also includes defending champion Finland, Canada, Switzerland and Latvia. Group B in Spisska Nova Ves consists of the teams from Sweden, the United States, Russia, the Czech Republic and Belarus. The best four teams from each group will play the quarter-finals on 20th April. The final games are set on the weekend of 22nd and 23rd April.
